Burlap!

I have been seeing burlap used in all sorts of decorating lately, and was excited to use some burlap bags that I picked up last year.
This one has a feminine ruffle to offset the rustic burlap.  It also has a loop and button closure.
These two totes are a little more utilitarian, with the burlap charm.
This bag has elastic gathering it in, giving it a bit of a feminine touch.  It is lined with vintage orange and yellow floral fabric.

pillows

This pillow needed a little bit of a perk-up, so I added an oversized flower
I found this great vintage poppy print fabric at a garage sale!  It inspired a pillow!

some more purses...

These next purses are medium to large sized.  I have been using woven type fabrics, because they seem so much more summery.  Ultimately I am limited by the recycled clothing that I can get a bargain on, but I have found quite a few linen items....
This was a new design, and somewhat experimental, but I think I like the results.  I especially love the button that I found along with a whole bag of cool  buttons.

These two are the same design as the "little girl purses," but the next size up.

This is another "experimental" design, and was more complex than I thought it would be, but I like how it turned out.  It makes me think of a beach bag, or a bag to take along to the park...:)

purses for the essentials

I've been working on purses and totes of all shapes and sizes.  These cuties are small... maybe little girl sized?  My girls sure thought so...:)

These two are just a step larger, but perfect for holding the essentials.  I had a lot of fun modifying the pattern and finding scraps to pull inspiration from that I would normally overlook as too small.

Cute and summery!

Springtime inspired

Here is a cheerful yellow and gray wreath made from scraps of just about everything :).

Four pillows...

A cute spring-y wreath... It ended up looking just like an Easter egg!
Can you tell I like yellow?

silent, but not uncreative

Well, here I am again...  sorry for the long absence.
Here are some of the things that I made in the last 5 months.

A couple of cute totes with a button closure.

Some more fun with fabric flowers.  I love them on throw pillows!
